Event Operations Coordinator

If the answer is yes, Kaboodle are looking for an Event Operations Coordinator to join our quickly expanding team and our growing portfolio of clients. The role will be based in either Manchester and will involve regular travel to represent Kaboodle at festivals and events.

As our Event Operations Coordinator you will have a dual focus. You will oversee our on-site event operations across our portfolio of clients, being responsible for staffing and logistics. This will involve regular work on-site at these events (both in the UK and aboard). The role will also encompass working with our accommodation and travel suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing and managing the stock we have been given to sell. Being a self-starter, capable of taking the initiative and having great attention to detail are all a must.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Sourcing staff for our events, both internally and externally.
  • Building and maintaining a list of freelancers.
  • Managing equipment and supplies for events
  • Booking travel and accommodation for staff
  • Managing our relationship with travel and accommodation suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing and stock
  • Managing our event operations, working with the client operations team to ensure the smooth delivery of our services and improving our processes where possible.

You and your skills:

  • Proven experience working on-site at events
  • Strong knowledge of the ticketing and / or travel industries
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literacy
  • Effective administration, time management and organisational skills
  • Positive 'can do' attitude, initiative, drive and enthusiasm
  • Team player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment
  • A commitment to delivering the best
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Proven track record of working to deadlines
  • Active listener, naturally empathetic and with common sense.
  • Flexible to work regular evenings & weekends both in the office and onsite at events with potential international travel to service our overseas events and festivals 
  • Clean driving licence would be a bonus!

The Package:

  • Salary:  £25k - £28k per annum (depending on experience)
  • 23 days holiday per annum (increasing with service to a maximum of 25 days)
  • Benefits including a Cycle-To-Work scheme and Health Cash Plan
  • Hours are normally 9am to 5.30pm (with some flexibility to work earlier or later) Monday to Friday but the successful applicant must be flexible to work evenings and weekends as required. (Time-of-in-lieu is accrued for any additional days worked over weekends).
